There’s a new art exhibit coming to Boca Raton! Boca Raton Museum of Art, located at 501 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, will kick off their Art of Hollywood Backdrop, an exhibition of historic artworks painted for the camera’s eye, on April 20. For just $12 for adult admission and free admission for students with an ID and children, you’ll learn about America’s unrecognized master scenic artists. Artists behind Hollywood movie backdrops, with movies like “North by Northwest,” “Cleopatra,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” and “The Sound of Music,” have rarely gotten recognition for their artistic contributions. In this exhibit, the original, historic backdrops from MGM Studios’ golden age will be on display.
