As residents of Boca Raton, it’s our job to get out there and make the most of our stunning surroundings, and one of the best places to do that is Blazing Star Preserve! This local park and preserve comprises more than 25 acres of protected land, making it a great place to explore the outdoors.

The park offers two stacked loops which offer a quick hike that’s either a mile or half-mile through the scrub forest. Scrub forests are dry areas of land that still offer lush plant life like evergreens, pines, and palmettos that have adapted to the sandy conditions. The hike is sandy, so get ready to work those calf muscles, even this quick walk is a workout!
